Biography
Sarah Pinney, MD is a board certified dermatologist, trained in complex medical dermatology, cutaneous oncology, and cosmetic dermatology. She treats patients of all ages with a broad range of skin conditions. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Texas Medical Association, Texas Dermatological Society, Harris County Medical Society, and Houston Dermatological Society. She has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and regularly participates in conferences and other activities to continue her medical education.
Dr. Pinney is from Houston, Texas. She graduated from Emory University with an undergraduate degree in neuroscience and behavioral biology. She was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honors society as a medical student at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center – Houston. She completed her preliminary internal medicine internship at Baylor College of Medicine; dermatology residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center – Houston and MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she served as chief resident.
After graduation, she became an assistant professor for The University of Texas Health Science Center – Houston where she was chief of service at Lyndon B Johnson hospital. In addition to seeing and treating patients, she participated in resident and medical student education. She was elected as a top doctor by Texas Monthly Magazine in July 2017 and a rising star in July 2018.
